About me
I’m a researcher with a background in anthropology.
I use a human-centered design approach informed by qualitative and quantitative research methods.
I navigate the nuances of user insights to advocate for their wants and needs in experience/product design and development.
At my core, I’m an anthropologist. I’m curious about and inspired by people and cultures. Most people are familiar with anthropology because of the Indiana Jones series or Dr. Temperance Brennan from Bones. I don’t do either of those things. What I can do, however, is conduct research with real people and synthesize insights into powerful stories that shed light on human needs and motivations.
My Research Philosophy
My research philosophy encompasses design thinking and user-centered foci. I have experience designing and executing all phases of the research process as well as training junior team members. I am versed in generative and evaluative research. I specialize in qualitative research methods (e.g., ethnographic observations, in-depth interviews, focus groups, Design Sprints, etc.) and am also trained in quantitative approaches (e.g., surveys, secondary data analysis, and experiments).
UI/UX Design
An effective UI/UX is what captures attention and spreads a clear message. I make sure the design is innovative and neat with all of this.
